Recycling Jeans

After wearing a pair of worn out jeans for far too long now, I finally got round to buying a new pair. I find so jeans so hard to buy, each brand creating various cuts and designs its difficult to find a pair that really suits your body shape and are reasonably priced. I bought this pair from Banana Republic, and am so far very pleased with them.
I couldn't bare to throw my old jeans out, so decided to make them into a pair of shorts instead!

The dark denim works well with tights for winter and I'll go for bare (fake-tanned) legs in the summer. I feel like I've saved myself about £25 by not throwing these out, and sitting down for a couple of hours with some pins, and a needle and thread.

Its very satisfying knowing it was your handywork thats created a new item of clothing.
